In just a few short weeks, life as “I” know it, is going to be greatly changed by the arrival of a son. To say that Grace, my wife, and I are beyond excited is an understatement! We’ve been anticipating this day for so long, and are really looking forward to expanding our family.
Framework International, you, are my extended family, and I am so grateful for how far we’ve come together in building or renovating schools in Ghana. We’ve built eight schools so far and are in the process of putting the finishing touches on Small London Junior High and are in mid-build of Phase 1 of the Edukuma Primary School! You are helping over 3,000 children receive an education, which gives them hope for a better future.
This is a mission that deserves plenty of attention. Attention that I’ve been able to give for 17 years, and one I plan on being a part of for many years to come. But with the birth of our child coming up, I wanted to let you know that I will be stepping down as the Chair of Framework International’s board. I will be staying on the board, and will continue to serve, but I will be relinquishing the responsibility of managing the board so I can more fully focus on my immediate family.
We’ve engaged a fundraising consultant who specializes in board transitions to help us. We’re going to refine the board’s roles, so other board members can take over some of my responsibilities. And we are going to add board members to the team.
It is my great honor to serve alongside you, and I look forward to continuing this great work, together, for many years to come!
Yours in empowering Ghana’s youth,
Seth Prickett
