Let me point something out to you – TODAY is my 40th birthday
In honor of my “big” day, will you please give a gift to Framework International?
This beautiful young girl can smile, because she is experiencing the hope that having access to education brings. We are building her a primary school in her village of Edukuma, a small rural community in the central coastal region of Ghana. A village that tends to go unnoticed, as opportunities are few and daily life for its residents is tough.
But today, right now, this little girl can read and write and do math – and she LOVES it! Her joy and the hope she has is the best birthday gift to me! And it’s not one that I am getting, it is one that I am giving through my support of Framework International. Will you please join me in giving it too?
Turning 40 is supposedly a pretty big deal. At 40, you really reflect on what you’ve done in your life so far. In terms of work, Framework International is probably what I am most proud of. Honestly, what’s more important than being able to change a life? You and I are doing that, by building this village a school.
These children are waiting on us. The village leaders of Edukuma asked their government for help in rebuilding their school, which had been destroyed over the years from flooding rains. But the government couldn’t help, as more populous cities took precedence. So that’s where we stepped in and are making a real difference in this rural community.
We’ve been working in this village for almost two years and we are very close to having all the money needed to finish their primary school, but we aren’t there yet. As soon as we get the remaining money raised, $12,000, it will probably be just a few weeks to actually finish the school build – just in time for the new school year.
But, we are at a standstill until the funds come in.
Since 2008, when I started my charitable work in Ghana by founding Framework International, I’ve asked my friends to join me in making a special “birthday donation” to this incredible organization in honor of my big day. And today is the day.
Please help me celebrate my birthday, by making a donation, right now, to Framework International for $40 – in honor of my 40th year!
This donation can be a special gift of $40, $82 (for the year I was born), or $120 – whatever you are able to give. Or perhaps you will consider making a monthly recurring donation of $40 for this birthday year. Whatever you decide, please know that your gift goes directly to our mission – empowering Ghana’s youth through the building or renovating of its schools.
Kids' lives are forever changed when a school is in their village – they are finally able to get an education! You make this possible through your financial partnership that is currently impacting the lives of over 3,000 students who are now able to attend school because they have a Framework-built school in their village.
Thank you for celebrating my birthday with me today! And for your generous birthday gift, in honor of my 40th birthday, to Framework International.
Yours in empowering Ghana’s youth,
Seth Prickett
Framework Founder and Board Chair
P.S. I just got the best birthday news – your birthday gift to Framework will be DOUBLED up to $4,000! This is in thanks to volunteer extraordinaire Ken Prickett, my dad, who works all year long selling Ghana baskets at Farmer’s Markets and fairs. (They are even in some stores!) He is donating the proceeds of these baskets to Framework International. So please give generously today. We are so close to finishing the Edukuma school building project, and your gifts make all the difference.
